The way the afternoon game drives worked is that we all met at the lodge for tea time about 3:30 PM then went out on the drives to about 6:45 PM when we came back for dinner.
On Saturday, we had four more people join our vehicle. They were all South Africans from Cape Town. They were quite friendly people and made for a nice complement to our little group. Frank and Tracey moved to the front row of the vehicle with me. This wound up being our positions for the rest of the time we were together.
The weather had cleared out a bit but it wasn't quite warm yet. We set off on our tour. Here's some of what we saw on this drive.

The sightings of the wild dogs is rare in Thornybush. This pack has four adults (a male and three females) plus nine pups. Ironically, these animals have the best survival rate of any in the wild.
We also saw a cerval, which is nocturnal, on our drive back to the lodge. The evening wrapped up with all seven of us plus Christoff for a cookout dinner then drinks with Frank and Tracey. All in all, a very wonderful day.
